‘I Am Cait’ canceled after 2 seasons
E! has decided to pull the plug on Caitlyn Jenner’s docuseries “I Am Cait” after two seasons.
In a statement Tuesday, an E! spokesperson says: “We are incredibly proud of the two seasons of ‘I Am Cait,’ a groundbreaking docu-series that sparked an important and unprecedented global conversation about transgender people, their struggles and triumphs.
“Caitlyn and E! have mutually decided not to move forward with another season at this time. She will always remain a part of the E! family, and we look forward to continue following her journey as she appears on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.'”
“I Am Cait” suffered a sharp ratings drop in its second season, which concluded in April. After averaging 1.38 million-same day viewers for Season 1, the second outing fell by almost 50 percent, drawing about 704,000 viewers per episode.
