‘Narcos’ renewed for 2 more seasons on Netflix


Netflix has picked up its drama series “Narcos” for two additional seasons, the streaming service announced Monday.

The renewal will carry the show through a fourth season, following two seasons dramatizing the life of Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. Season 2 was released on Sept. 2.

The new seasons will also feature some continuity behind the camera. “Narcos” went through showrunner changes before its debut and between its first and second seasons. Current executive producers Jose Padilha and Eric Newman will remain at the helm for Seasons 3 and 4.

Season 3 of “Narcos” will launch sometime in 2017. Watch a teaser announcing the renewal below:
