‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ premiere moves up, CBS trims JonBenet Ramsey docuseries
CBS has cut back its docuseries about the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, and as a result “NCIS: Los Angeles” will be back a week sooner than originally scheduled.
“NCIS: LA” will now have a two-hour season premiere at 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 25 (depending on the end time of CBS’ late-afternoon NFL game). It had been set for a week later, Oct. 2. A to-be-determined drama rerun will air following the premiere.
The network has also trimmed “The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey” from six hours to four. It will air on Sept. 18 and 19 as previously scheduled, but the Sept. 25 installment has been cut. The change comes a couple days after NBC devoted Friday’s two-hour “Dateline” to the Ramsey case, pulling in pretty solid numbers for a summer Friday.
The premieres of “Madam Secretary” and “Elementary” remain on Oct. 2.
