Syndicated TV ratings, Sept. 5-11: ‘Judge Judy,’ ‘Family Feud’ finish 1-2 again

“Judge Judy” and “Family Feud” kept their lock on the top of the syndicated TV rankings for the week of Sept. 5-11.

“Judy” earned a 6.8 household rating to finish No. 1 for the sixth consecutive week. “Family Feud” was second with a 6.2 and led the game-show category for its 20th straight week. “Dr. Phil” claimed sole possession of first among talk shows with a 2.7, finishing two tenths of a point ahead of “Live with Kelly.”

Why do you use household ratings here but nowhere else?
Ad deals for syndicated shows are largely based on household ratings and, for daytime shows, ratings among women 25-54.

What about “The Simpsons”? “Simpsons” repeats in syndication are not counted in the weekly ratings because they don’t include any national advertising.

“Weekend Adventure” is a package of nature shows airing weekends on many ABC stations.

For syndicated shows airing on multiple days, the viewership is the average of all telecasts.
