Because of a threatened blizzard in Philadelphia, NBC had to skip Sunday Night Football (although they’ll effectively get two SNFs this week, and a big weekly ratings win), and that knocked them out of what would likely have been a third weekly broadcast primetime ratings win. Instead, with an NFL overrun on Sunday, and animated repeats with no football competition, Fox towered over the mostly repeat competition’s ratings for the week with a 1.8 adults 18-49 average rating.
NBC did have the finale of The Sing Off, plus a nice Saturday with Jimmy Stewart, and manged to tie CBS for second place with a 1.4 rating average. ABC again finished fourth among broadcasters with a 1.3 rating average.
CBS topped the press release friendly, but advertiser ignored, average viewership for the week.
The network’s average viewership is charted in millions of viewers, just like we report all other average viewership information on the site, and adults 18-49 is charted as ratings points. Note the units (million viewers on the left, rating on the right) below the bars.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.315 million adults 18-49.
