E! Online’s Marc Malkin wrote last night that Charlie Sheen has reportedly asked for as much as $2 million per episode of Two and a Half Men, but thinks he’ll “only” get $1.2-$1.3 million.

While sources have told me that Sheen threatened to walk as a negotiating tactic, his camp has maintained that everyone involved has known for over a year that he may want out.

“In no way has this been a hasty or negligent eleventh-hour surprise,” Sheen said in a statement in early April.

While of course it is a negotiating tactic, with his contract expiring at the end of the current season, indeed, none of the shenanigans could’ve been an 11th hour surprise to either CBS or Warner Bros.
