Multiple media outlets are now reporting that the plea deal in Charlie Sheen’s felony case in Colorado was not completed this week as expected, and that the next hearing on the matter was scheduled for July 12.

While I’d be pretty sure that a deal will be reached, the fear now is that whatever terms are set might interfere with the taping of next season’s Two And A Half Men. The taping for the next season of the show would typically begin in July, so any sentence imposed after that rescheduled court date could push back the start of the taping schedule. It’s not clear how much of a delay in that schedule might threaten the fall premiere date of the show, but you can bet that CBS is getting contingency plans ready.
