“The Walking Dead” took a bit of a ratings hit Sunday — not surprising since it was airing opposite the Oscars. The show nonetheless easily maintained its clear No. 1 status on cable.

Sunday’s episode earned a 4.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 10.42 million viewers, down from 5.3 and 11.08 million the previous week. “Talking Dead” was off only slightly with a 1.7, vs. 1.8 previously.

E!’s “Live from the Red Carpet” coverage leading up to the Oscars scored a 0.7 and a little over 2 million viewers, on par with last year. “Homeland” drew a 0.3 on Showtime.
