The Wednesday cable ratings were dominated by several major live broadcasts this week. ESPN led with its broadcast of the MLB Opening Day game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants with a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.97 million viewers. The network’s broadcasts of the other Cleveland vs Seattle and Houston vs Texas MLB games scored some additional 0.4 and 0.3 ratings throughout the night as well.
TNT’s broadcasts of the Bucks vs Warriors and Thunder vs Spurs NBA games rounded out the top 3 of the night with two back-to-back 0.5s. On FX, “Atlanta” continued its recent 0.3 streak for the third week in a row, and even managed to tick up just slightly in total viewers with 607,000 this time around.
Meanwhile, the History Channel’s “Swamp People” took a minor hit, falling from a 0.4 to a 0.3. Similarly, VH1’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” landed fairly low in the top 25 with a 0.3, also down one-tenth from its previous 0.4.
