Final broadcast primetime live + same-day ratings for Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017

Game 6 of the World Series adjusted up from Tuesday’s preliminary ratings to the finals, as expected. It delivered 22.29 million viewers and a 6.0 rating in adults 18-49, both highs for the series thus far.

Elsewhere, “The Middle” (1.2) adjusted up a tenth of a point for ABC. “Law & Order True Crime” (0.7) came down a tenth on NBC.

Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns.

Time Shifted Viewing:
 Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live +Same-Day and Live +7 Day. Time-shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+SD includes viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3 a.m. local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live +7 ratings include  viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
