The fall finale of “This Is Us” tied its season high in the overnight ratings. With three days of DVR and on-demand viewing, it set a new best.

The NBC show rose to a 4.5 rating (from a 2.8) among adults 18-49 in the Live +3 ratings for its Dec. 6 episode. That’s its highest three-day total to date; its previous best was 4.2. The show also reached a high in total viewers with 15.4 million.

“Designated Survivor” was the percentage-gain leader among the Top 25, doubling its 18-49 rating (1.1 to 2.2). It also added the most viewers, growing by 4.96 million (a 96 percent jump) from its initial broadcast.
