The Jan. 23 episode of “This Is Us” had initial ratings a little below the show’s season average: 2.6 in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.8 for the season prior to that) and 9.48 million viewers (vs. 10.37 million).

It also had a larger-than-average gain from three days of delayed viewing, growing by 1.9 points in adults 18-49 compared to an average of 1.6 for its previous episodes. It added 5.41 million viewers (the most of the week) vs. its averaged of 4.55 million.

The result? At 4.5 in the 18-49 demo and 14.89 million viewers for the episode, “This Is Us” was right in line with its three-day season average (4.4, 14.85 million).
