That preliminary local people meter rating of a 2.3 will be more than enough to win top honors for Saturday night if it holds up in the national finals.  The original telecast averaged a 2.7 with adults 18-49 four weeks ago.  Last week’s original telecast (Jon Hamm &  musical gues Rihanna) averaged a 2.5 rating.  Anyway you look at it, the Jane Lynch episode repeated well.

Via NBC – In late-night metered-market households Saturday night:

  • An encore telecast of “Saturday Night Live” (4.4/10 in metered-market households) hosted by Jane Lynch with musical guest Bruno Mars, dominated its time period.  This is the highest rating in metered-market households for an SNL encore since February 28, 2009 (4.8/12 for a telecast hosted by Neal Patrick Harris and featuring musical guest Taylor Swift)
  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Saturday Night Live” averaged a 2.3 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and was the #1 show of the night in the Local People Meters, ahead of all primetime telecasts on the English-language broadcast networks.
