“JKL” Q109 is Up Over Q108 by 7% in Viewers and by 5% in Adults 18-49, Posting the Largest Gains Among the Late-Night Entertainment Shows in Adults

“JKL” Bests CBS’ “Ferguson” in Q109 in Adults 18-34 and Across All Key Women, Outperforming “Ferguson” Among Women for the 6th Straight Quarter

“JKL” Thursday Telecast Outdelivers NBC’s “Jimmy Fallon” in Total Viewers

1Q09 and Weekly National Ratings:

During the just completed 1st Quarter 2009, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” saw increases over 1Q08 of 7% in Total Viewers (1.72 million vs. 1.61 million) and 5% in Adults 18-49 (761,000 vs. 724,000).

· “JKL” was up the most in Adults 18-49 (+5%) over Q108 among the late-night entertainment talk shows compared to “Carson Daly” (+2%) and “Ferguson” (+3%). “Letterman” was down (-9%), while “Leno” was flat (0%). “Conan” was down (-2%) quarter to quarter through the end of its run on 2/27/09.

· For the quarter, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” outperformed CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” among Adults 18-34 (286,000 vs. 284,000) and across all key women demos: W18-34 (178,000 vs. 160,000), W18-49 (486,000 vs. 402,000) and W25-54 (544,000 vs. 497,000). In fact, it was the 6th quarter in a row that “JKL” bettered the CBS late-night program across the women demos.

· During the final week of the Quarter (week of March 23, 2009), ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was up over the previous week by 4% in Total Viewers (1.76 million vs. 1.70 million), registering the late-night program’s second-largest audience in 9 weeks – since week of 1/19/09.

· “Kimmel” was up over the same week last year (w/o 3/24/08) in Total Viewers (1.76 million vs. 1.72 million), growing year to year for the 4th consecutive week and for the 6th time in the last 7 weeks.

· Thursday’s (3/26/09) telecast of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” attracted the late night program’s second-most-watched Thursday (2.13 million) of the season, behind only season-premiere Thursday 6 months ago – since 9/25/08. In fact, “JKL” topped NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on the night by 4% in Total Viewers (2.13 million vs. 2.04 million). “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” guests included Bobby Cannavale, The Osbournes and stand-up comedian, Todd Glass.
