There will be no afterlife for “Angel from Hell.”

CBS has canceled the comedy after five episodes. The show drew unimpressive ratings in its run with a 1.42 same-day rating in adults 18-49. That’s about two tenths below what the previous occupant of the 9:30 p.m. Thursday spot, “2 Broke Girls,” drew in the fall.

“2 Broke Girls” will be back in the spot starting Feb. 18 after a brief run on Wednesdays (“Survivor’s” new season takes over the 8 p.m. spot starting Feb. 17). A “Big Bang Theory” rerun will air in “Angel from Hell’s” place this week.

The show is the first CBS rookie to get the ax this season.

There’s no word yet on where “2 Broke Girls'” Wednesday companion, “Mike & Molly,” will air the remainder of its final season.

“Angel from Hell” joins these shows that have been canceled in 2015-16.
