Amazon has picked up its drama series “Bosch” for a third season, keeping the iconoclastic LAPD detective on the case in 2017.

The renewal comes about a month after Season 2 of “Bosch” launched on Amazon’s streaming service. Like other streaming platforms, Amazon doesn’t release viewing figures.

“Bosch” is based on a long-running series of novels by Michael Connelly, who’s also an executive producer of the show. It stars Titus Welliver as Lt. Harry Bosch, a homicide detective in Los Angeles. Jamie Hector, Lance Reddick, Amy Aquino and Annie Wersching also star.

The series joins these shows that have been renewed for 2016-17 and beyond.
