Raise a glass to “The Simpsons,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Saturday Night College Football” and “The OT,” FOX’s NFL postgame show. Of the 95 returning series on ABC, CBS, The CW, FOX and NBC this season, they were the only four to improve their live plus same-day adults 18-49 ratings vs. 2015-16.

Seven other shows — “The Bachelor,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Last Man Standing,” “Blue Bloods,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Bob’s Burgers” and “NBA Countdown” — matched their numbers from a year ago.

The other 84? All down, the vast majority of those by 10 percent or more. “Sunday Night Football” was No. 1 again, but its 6.7 rating was 10.7 percent below last season’s 7.5. The top non-sports show, “The Big Bang Theory,” dropped 16 percent from 3.7 to 3.1.

“This Is Us” was far and away the highest-rated of the 52 new series in the 18-49 demographic. Its 2.7 rating was more than a point better than the next-best rookies: “Hunted,” “Kevin Can Wait,” “Lethal Weapon” and “Speechless” all averaged 1.6.

All figures below are live plus same-day ratings for original episodes during the Nielsen-measured TV season from Sept. 19, 2016-May 24, 2017. Episodes of shows that aired outside those dates are excluded, as are summer shows that aired episodes during the season.
