FOX has announced its premiere dates for the start of the 2017-18 TV season, and like CBS and NBC, the bulk of its schedule will launch during the week of Sept. 25.

There are a couple of exceptions, however, including Seth MacFarlane’s live-action sci-fi show “The Orville.” It will debut at 8 p.m. ET/PT Sunday, Sept. 10, following an NFL doubleheader on the network.

It will get a second post-NFL airing the following Sunday before moving to its regular home at 9 p.m. Thursdays starting Sept. 28. The early start will also help the show get through a decent portion of its initial run before postseason baseball disrupts FOX’s schedule in late October.

The network’s Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday shows will all launch during premiere week. Monday-night shows “Lucifer” and “The Gifted” will debut Oct. 2.
