It has finally arrived: the final series premiere of the fall. “Chicago Med” debuts on NBC at 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday.
The show has already been established to a degree within NBC’s other Chicago shows, which could help give it a bump in the ratings. (So could a nice timeslot between “The Voice” and “Chicago Fire.”) But it’s also worth noting that neither “Fire” nor “PD” was exactly a breakout hit at the beginning.
“Fire” debuted to a 1.9 same-day rating in 2012 and didn’t really get much above that in its first season. It grew in Season 2 after being paired with “The Voice” on Tuesdays (see a pattern here?) and became the solid player it is today.
“PD,” meanwhile, opened to a 2.0 and has settled in the mid-1s for much of its run.
With that in mind, how do you think “Chicago Med” will fare in its debut? Vote below.
