Another year, another 11th-hour renewal for “So You Think You Can Dance.”

FOX has picked up a 15th season of the dance competition, which seems perpetually on the bubble. Friday’s announcement marks the third year in a row the network has waited until midwinter — shortly before the audition cycle needs to begin — to pick up the series.

“It’s incredible to make it to 15 seasons, which just speaks to the impact this program has had, not only on the world of dance, but also on our loyal fans and viewers, to whom we are most grateful,” executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe says in a statement.

Mary Murphy and Vanessa Hudgens will return as judges alongside Lythgoe for Season 15, and Cat Deeley remains as host. Auditions will begin in March for dancers between the ages of 18 and 30.

Last summer, “So You Think You Can Dance” averaged a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.67 million viewers for initial airings, off slightly from its 2016 average (0.8, 2.94 million).

The show joins these series that have been renewed for 2018-19 and beyond.
