NBC has added another drama to its 2016-17 lineup: “This Is Us,” about a group of people whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways.

The show comes from writer Dan Fogelman (“Galavant,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love”) and stars Sterling K. Brown (“The People v. O.J. Simpson”), Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia. “Crazy, Stupid, Love” directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra directed the pilot.

The show’s logline doesn’t give offer up much about how the characters cross paths, other than noting some of them share the same birthday.

It joins fellow NBC newcomers “Chicago Justice,” “Emerald City,” “The Good Place,” “Powerless,” “Taken” and “Trial & Error.” Every new broadcast series for 2016-17 is here.
