“CBS This Morning: Saturday” Posts Its Best Second Quarter Viewer Delivery Ever
CBS THIS MORNING
CBS THIS MORNING posted its best second quarter viewer delivery since the advent of people meters (September 1987) in second quarter 2015, with a +14% gain in viewers (3.50m from 3.08m) compared to second quarter 2014. According to Nielsen most-current ratings, this marks the closest the network morning broadcast has been to NBC in adults 25-54, the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, viewers and women 25-54 in a second quarter in 21 years (since second quarter 1994).
For the week ending June 26, CBS THIS MORNING posted an +8% gain in viewers (3.14m from 2.90m) compared to a year ago, according to Nielsen live plus same-day ratings. The broadcast gained nearly a quarter of a million viewers (+240,000) compared to the same week last year.
Television year-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is the only network morning news broadcast posting gains in adults 25-54 (+13%, 0.9/07 from 0.8/06) and viewers (+9%, 3.39m from 3.09m) compared to last year.
CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY
In second quarter 2015, CBS THIS MORNING SATURDAY posted the Network’s best Saturday morning news second quarter delivery ever in viewers. The Saturday morning broadcast was up +11% in viewers (2.03m from 1.83m) compared to second quarter 2014.
On Saturday, June 27, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY posted a double-digit percentage gain in adults 25-54 (+25%, 0.5/04 from 0.4/03), the demographic most important to those who advertise in news, and viewers (+19%, 1.87m from 1.57m) compared to the same week the year before, according to Nielsen live plus same-day ratings.
Television year-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY is the only Saturday morning network broadcast posting gains in viewers (+8%, 2.10m from 1.93m) compared to last year.
