“This Week” Narrows Week-to-Week Gap in Total Viewers with

“Meet the Press” (-17%) and “Face the Nation” (-79%)

“This Week” Narrows Week-to-Week Gap Among Adults 25-54 with

“Meet the Press” (-33%)

On November 7, 2010, ABC News’ “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” was the No. 2 Sunday morning program in the key Adults 25-54 demographic, outperforming CBS’ “Face the Nation” by 90,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

“This Week” showed week-to-week growth among Adults 25-54 and Total Viewers. Reporting 730,000 Adults 25-54, ABC increased +4% in the demo week to week. With 2.31 million Total Viewers, the week-to-week Total Viewer growth was +11%.

Versus last week, “This Week” narrowed the gaps with NBC’s “Meet the Press” by -33% in the demo and -17% in Total Viewers. “This Week” also closed the week-to-week total viewing gap with “Face the Nation by -79%.

On Sunday, “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” featured a discussion on ways to decrease the national debt with Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) and former Reagan budget director David Stockman.
Ms. Amanpour also had an exclusive interview with Senator-elect Rand Paul (R-KY). Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN), John Podesta, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress, political strategist Matthew Dowd, ABC News’ political director Amy Walter, and ABC News’ George Will joined Ms. Amanpour for the roundtable discussion.

Christiane Amanpour is the anchor of “This Week” and Ian Cameron is the executive producer. The program airs Sundays on the ABC Television Network.
