New York, May 7, 2012 – “Access Hollywood Live,” the daily, entertainment-oriented talk show, has scored an across-the-board double digit increase in demographics so far in the all-important May 2012 sweep.

According to just-released Nielsen Station Index data for the week ending April 29, which included the first four days of the rating period, “Access Hollywood Live” recorded year to year growth of 33 percent among women aged 18 to 34, 20% among women aged 18 to 49, and 14% among women aged 25 to 54, the three categories most closely watched by daytime television advertisers.

Household ratings for “Access Hollywood Live” have also skyrocketed in key markets compared to last year at this time. In Los Angeles, it ballooned 67% to a 1.0/3 (rating/share) on KNBC, and in Chicago, it improved 50% to a 1.2/5 on WMAQ.

“Access Hollywood Live” kicked off the week ending April 29 with visits by entertainment legend Liza Minelli, once and future talk show host Ricki Lake, and Jermaine Paul of TV’s “The Voice,” who accompanied himself on guitar singing “Livin’ on a Prayer.”  The show is hosted by Billy Bush and Kit Hoover and produced by NBC-Universal TV.
