BRAVO’S “WATCH WHAT HAPPENS: LIVE” SCORES HIGHEST THURSDAY LATE NIGHT TELECAST IN NETWORK HISTORY
Series Bests “Kimmel,” “Last Call” And “Chelsea Lately In A18-49 Demo
Comedian Jimmy Fallon Joins Andy Cohen This Thursday, Live At Midnight
NEW YORK – September 28, 2009 – Viewers are responding to Bravo’s first ever late night, interactive topical series “Watch What Happens: Live,” hosted by Andy Cohen. The live, weekly show scored the highest rated Thursday late night telecast ever in Bravo history, delivering 940,000 total viewers and 738,000 adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research. Last week’s show bested new episodes of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Last Call with Carson Daly” and “Chelsea Lately” in the key adults 18-49 demo, and beat “Chelsea Lately” in total viewers. Since its series premiere in July, “Watch What Happens: Live” has posted triple digit gains among all key demos, up 269 percent among adults 18-49 (vs. 200,000) and up 181 percent in total viewers (vs. 334,000).
Comedian and “Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon will join Cohen in the Bravo clubhouse this coming Thursday, October 1, Live at Midnight (tape delayed PT). Fallon will take viewer calls and questions via Facebook and Twitter, and will explain which housewife was the motivation for his latest sketch “The Real Housewives of Late Night.”
“Watch What Happens: Live” features guests from some of Bravo’s most popular series, as well as from the world of entertainment, politics and pop culture. The series includes lively debates on everything from fashion, the latest Housewives drama, to what celebrity is making headlines that week. The show airs Thursdays at midnight and past guests include Sarah Jessica Parker, Kelly Ripa, Anderson Cooper, Congressman Barney Frank, Mark Consuelos, Lance Bass, Levi Johnston – and of course, The Real Housewives.
