Erica Hill Reports Live from Rhinebeck, N.Y., the site of Clinton’s Wedding; Chris Wragge Broadcasts from the Studio in New York City

To celebrate the wedding of Chelsea Clinton, CBS News’ “THE EARLY SHOW ON SATURDAY” will present “A Chelsea Morning” July 31 on the CBS Television Network.  Erica Hill will broadcast live on location in Rhinebeck, N.Y., the site of the much-anticipated wedding of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky.  Chris Wragge will broadcast from the studio in New York City.

The special broadcast will include a closer look at presidential kids with Pulitzer Prize-winning author and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who will discuss why America has a special attachment to the children who grow up in the White House.  Kearns will share her thoughts on why some children of presidents do well after the spotlight has faded and others do not.  The show will also present an intimate look at Chelsea Clinton, who was only twelve years old when she moved into the White House in 1993, and how she developed from a pre-teen to the self-assured young woman who campaigned alongside her mother in 2008.

The broadcast will also feature an interview with Jim Langan, Executive Editor of the Hudson Valley News, who will discuss the wedding’s impact on this quaint little town; “Wedding Diets,” “Weddings Dos and Don’ts”; and “Wedding Gifts.”  Also, for this week’s special wedding edition of “Chef on a Shoestring,” Hill will be joined by Chef John Kroner of Rhinebeck’s Terrapin Restaurant.  For a truly memorable “Chef on a Shoestring,” Chef Kroner will work with a budget of $80 dollars to create a gourmet wedding menu that will include wedding cakes you can make at home.

Chris Wragge will broadcast from the studio in New York City, where he will be joined by Billboard’s best-selling new classical artist of 2009, German violinist David Garrett, who will perform in the Second Cup Café.  Garrett’s self-titled U.S. debut last year made the 28-year-old former child prodigy the genre’s hottest new star.  He will perform two songs from his just-released sophomore album, Rock Symphonies.

Chris Wragge and Erica Hill anchor THE EARLY SHOW ON SATURDAY.  Michael Rosen is the executive producer.
