“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” POSTS LARGEST AUDIENCE SINCE MARCH AND BEST ADULTS 25-54 SINCE FEBRUARY
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 22. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.8/10 with 5.44m viewers and 1.5/07 in adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best households and viewers deliveries since March 4, 2012 and best adults 25-54 ratings since Feb. 19, 2012.
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10) and even in both viewers (5.29m) and adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
On Sunday’s broadcast, Martha Teichner examined the human and financial costs of the explosive growth in America’s prison population, Rita Braver caught a glimpse of some of Tiffany & Co.’s most stunning pieces as the company celebrated its 175th anniversary, and Bill Geist took in Sanibel Island, Fla.’s “Shellebration” honoring the 75th Shell Fair and Show. Additionally, Anthony Mason interviewed Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, Bill Flanagan offered an appreciation of Levon Helms and anchor Charles Osgood paid tribute to Dick Clark.
