On Friday, Disney Channel’s original comedy series “Jessie” debuted as the network’s most-watched Friday series premiere in three years in Total Viewers (4.6 million), Kids 6-11 (2.3 million/9.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.8 million/7.6 rating) – since “The Suite Life on Deck” set sail in September 2008 – ranking as TV’s No. 1 telecast for the day in both target kid demos, and as cable’s No. 1 scripted telecast in Total Viewers.  


Additionally, “Jessie” also delivered an impressive 887,000 Adults 18-49, further augmenting Disney Channel’s kid-driven, family inclusive strategy.


  • In Tweens 9-14, Friday’s all-new “Phineas and Ferb” posted a series high (1.6 million/6.6 rating), while its lead-out, “Fish Hooks” (1.3 million/5.3 rating), snagged its 3rd-largest audience on record in the target demo.


  • Overall, also featuring all-new episodes of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “A.N.T. Farm,” “Phineas and Ferb” and “Fish Hooks” as part of its “Night of Premieres,” Disney Channel held Friday’s Top 10 TV telecasts in Kids 6-11, the Top 11 TV telecasts in Tweens 9-14 and the Top 3 scripted cable telecasts in Total Viewers.
