Game 5 Marks 93rd Game of 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Setting Single-Year Record For Most Games in One Postseason

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 13, 2014 – The Los Angeles Kings look to clinch their second Stanley Cup in three years in front of a raucous STAPLES Center crowd with a Game 5 win over the New York Rangers tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of Game 5.

Emmy Award-winning play-by-play broadcaster Mike “Doc” Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning “Inside the Glass” analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call of Game 5 from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif.

Pre-game coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live, co-hosted by Liam McHugh and Dave Briggs alongside former NHL players and analysts Mike Milbury, Jeremy Roenick, Keith Jones and Anson Carter on-site from STAPLES Center.

The Kings aim for their second Stanley Cup title in franchise history and second championship in three years. Two years ago, the Kings held a 3-0 series lead against the New Jersey Devils in the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, and eventually won it in six games.

The Rangers need three straight victories to become only the fourth team in NHL playoff history to win four straight games in a series after falling into a 0-3 deficit. One of those four teams to complete the feat is this year’s Kings, who climbed out of a 0-3 hole to the San Jose Sharks in the first round. The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs are the only team to win a Stanley Cup Final after losing the first three games of the series. A win on Friday night in Los Angeles would shift the series back to New York for a potential Game 6 on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Following is the television schedule for the remaining games of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, all times Eastern and subject to change.
