Number One Rated Program Tuesday in South Florida in All Demos

(FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.) – Sun Sports, the exclusive regional television home of the Miami HEAT, announced last night’s game 2 broadcast between the HEAT and Milwaukee Bucks set a new, all-time ratings record on the network registering a 15.6 household rating average (HH RTG) in the South Florida DMA. The game, which peaked at a 19.0 HH RTG and finished as the number one rated program for the day in all demos, eclipsed the previous all-time ratings record of a 12.2 HH RTG set earlier this year when the HEAT beat the Boston Celtics on March 18.

Game 1 aired on Sunday night as a side-by-side broadcast versus TNT, and Sun Sports secured another ratings victory over the competition with a 9.52 HH RTG edging out TNT’s 9.36 HH RTG. Through two playoff games, Sun Sports is averaging a 12.4 HH RTG, which is on top of a 7.1 HH regular season average that was a network and team best.

Beyond the first round, Sun Sports will air an extended HEAT Live post-game show on the network upon conclusion of every game throughout the 2013 NBA Playoffs, not including ABC exclusives. All season long, Sun Sports has been HEAT fans’ go-to network for nonstop Miami HEAT action, and fans are encouraged to switch over to Sun Sports immediately following every playoff game for live interviews and analysis.
