New York, NY – April 2, 2010 – MTV Networks (MTVN), a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA. VIA.B) today announced four new apps for iPad from MTV, Nickelodeon, and VH1 Classic are now available on the App Store.  The new offering features kids, comedy, and gaming apps including MTV’s “Beavis and Butt-head;” Nickeodeon’s “Dora the Explorer Coloring Adventures!;” and “Daily Jigsaw;” and “VH1 Classic Presents: Intellivision for iPad.”

“The iPad gives us nearly limitless opportunities to creatively connect with consumers of all ages wherever they are,” said Greg Clayman, executive vice president, Digital Distribution and Business Development, MTV Networks. “We’re excited to be among the first to market with iPad apps.”


  • “Beavis and Butt-Head” ($4.99) – Beavis and Butt-Head are back on the couch in classic form in this app featuring pulse-pounding mini-games, video clips from the original MTV series, sound clips to share with friends and more.


  • “Dora the Explorer Coloring Adventures” ($4.99) – kids can go on creative adventures with a combination sticker and coloring book app designed specifically for iPad. Little explorers can choose a picture, add stickers, and then touch the screen to apply lots of colors. There are dozens of Dora-themed stickers and several backgrounds to choose from.
  • “Daily Jigsaw” ($0.99) – Shockwave brings one of its most popular titles to the iPad. Players will be able to download a new high-resolution puzzle everyday that features photos and fun facts submitted from Shockwave’s jigsaw community.

VH1 Classic

  • “VH1 Classic Presents: Intellivision for iPad” ($2.99) – download Intellivision and prepare to be transported back to the dawn of the video game era! Astrosmash, Night Stalker, Thunder Castle – all classics of early console gaming – and now available for the first time on iPad.
