NBA TV Tips off Coverage of the Most Anticipated NBA Season in History With Two Hour Studio Show, New Reality Series and the Return of Fan Night Voting

Season premiere show will feature Matt Winer, Kevin McHale, Chris Webber; Fan Night voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 26

Network will feature three new original programs: NBA Unscripted, 24 Hours with… and NBA Backstage

NBA TV, the league’s 24 hour network now available in 53 million homes, will tip off coverage of the 2010-2011 NBA season on Tuesday, Oct. 26 @ 5 p.m (ET), with a special live two-hour studio show featuring Matt Winer, Kevin McHale and Chris Webber featuring contributions from special guests and the roster of NBA TV talent including Steve Smith, Dennis Scott, Rick Kamla and Marc Fein, leading into TNT’s Opening Night, NBA Tip-Off presented by at 7 p.m (ET). The network’s extensive pre-game coverage will lead up to the highly-anticipated opening night matchup between the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics led by All-Stars Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo and the rebuilt Miami Heat sparked by Chris Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on TNT at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The network, which will feature up to 275 live basketball games throughout the entire year, will air its first NBA game of the new regular season on Saturday, Oct. 30 when the Denver Nuggets and three-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony face the Houston Rockets and their seven-time All-Star Yao Ming (8:30 p.m. ET) and culminate on Sunday, Oct. 31 when the Utah Jazz and NBA All-Star Deron Williams face the Oklahoma City Thunder and 2009-10 NBA scoring champion Kevin Durant (7:00 p.m. ET).

NBA TV, now in its 12th season, returns with its signature Tuesday night Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11, which allows NBA fans the opportunity to vote on for the game they want to see, opens its voting polls on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The game that receives the most votes will air on the network the following Tuesday night.

New Original Reality Programming
This season, NBA TV will feature three new original shows including:
? “NBA Unscripted”: A new one hour series, “NBA Unscripted” gives fans an in-depth look at what makes NBA teams tick during the regular season. Fans will get a behind-the-scenes look at the NBA as cameras take fans from the practice gyms to the locker rooms to game night, and catch up with the league’s stars off the court. The first episode airing Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. (ET) will feature the revamped Miami Heat and the superstar trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics’ veteran big three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.
? “24 Hours With…”: This new series will give fans a full day of access into the lives of players leading up to game time. Each half-hour episode features a player from his morning routine at home to his trip to the arena to his time with his family before and after the game. The first episode premieres Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m (ET) with New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul.
? NBA Backstage: Viewers will get an all-access pass to the memorable events during the NBA season as they experience NBA history in the making. NBA Backstage airs on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m (ET) and treats fans to a behind the scenes look at the first two games of the season featuring the Heat, Celtics, Rockets and Lakers and the memorable moments that will help define the new season.

NBA TV will return with its popular lineup of studio shows, including:
? Fantasy Insider: Rick Kamla, NBA TV’s fantasy expert, teams up with Dennis Scott to continue the weekly fantasy show Fantasy Insider airing Mondays on at 12 p.m. (ET) and airing on NBA TV at 6:00 p.m. (ET).
? The Jump presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11: The network’s most fan involved day tips off with The Jump presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11, a live, interactive show designed for the ultimate NBA fan. Fans can submit questions and comments via, Facebook or Twitter. Host Kyle Montgomery, analysts Dennis Scott, Brent Barry and ‘chat-master’ Sekou Smith will respond and give their comments and analysis on everything happening around the league. The show will stream live each week with its first show of the new season tipping off on Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. (ET) on and then airing at 5:00 p.m. (ET) on NBA TV.
? The Beat: The Beat will return each Tuesday as it preps fans for game action with a 30-minute show that covers news and storylines across the league with host Marc Fein, regular contributors David Aldridge and SLAM’s Lang Whitaker, as well as reporters from across the country.
? Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11: NBA TV’s Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11 studio team of host Ernie Johnson and analysts Chris Webber and Kevin McHale will return for the third season of the fan focused show. Fan Night presented by 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11 voting will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to select the first match-up of the season to air on Election Night on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
? Game Time: NBA TV’s GameTime will return as the live studio show filled with highlights, analysis, commentary and live look-ins at games being played across the league, airing six nights a week. Hosts Matt Winer, Rick Kamla, and Marc Fein will anchor the network’s live studio coverage, alongside analysts Steve Smith, Dennis Scott and Brent Barry. Steve Smith will also feature his weekly segment “Smitty’s Top Five Plays Under the Rim” where he analyzes former and current players’ techniques.
? One on One with Ahmad Rashad. Rashad will host specials throughout the season with players to get their perspective about life on and off the court. The first special will air Mon., Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. (ET) when Rashad goes one on one with Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant.
