U.S. TV Premiere of Acclaimed Series ‘Little Mosque’ on August 5 Along with World TV Premieres of Award Winning Feature Documentaries
NEW YORK, June 26, 2013 – Pivot (Pivot.tv), Participant Media’s new cable network targeting Millennials (18-34), today announced plans to kick off on August 1st with the premiere of its live midnight talk show, ‘TakePart Live’ (TPL). Five nights a week, the TakePart team decodes the headlines, dissects the daily memes and engages in irreverent and spirited conversations with a wide range of guests and with the audience itself.
The new cable network also unveiled launch dates for its primetime originals including the
September 14 back-to-back debuts of Meghan McCain’s genre-bending docu-talk series, ‘Raising McCain’ and real-life docu-series, ‘Jersey Strong.’
‘HITRECORD ON TV!,’ Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s re-imagination of a traditional variety show, will be far from traditional. Under his direction, members of an online community contribute to his open collaborative production company, hitRECord, to create short films, music, live performances, animation, conversation, and of course, more! Hosted by Gordon-Levitt himself, the series will launch January 18, 2014. Since June 10, RegularJOE (as he is known by hitRECord users) has been providing creative direction to the community of RECorders via daily videos.

In addition, ‘Little Mosque,’ the internationally acclaimed and long-running Canadian series, will make its U.S. TV debut on August 5.
Celebrated feature documentaries premiering include ‘Last Call at The Oasis’ on August 25 and ‘99% – The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film’ on September 17 — the 2nd anniversary of the movement that made national headlines.
