MIAMI, May 4, 2011 – On Sunday’s episode of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), Univision’s popular reality competition series, 3.7 million Total Viewers 2+ tuned in to see the contestants paired up with a Univision Network personality for a dance routine. Diana Cano of New York, NY (Ecuadorian); Patricia Corcino of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Nicole Suarez of Chicago, IL (Colombian); Natassja Bolivar of Miami, FL (Nicaraguan) and Gredmarie Colon of San Juan, Puerto Rico continue to battle it out for the coveted crown and the chance to win $250,000 in cash and prizes. The winner will also receive a one-year contract with Univision Network, following in the footsteps of the four previous winners who today are household names in Hispanic America. This year’s runner-up will also be awarded a contract with Univision Network.


Also growing are the ratings for the fifth season of this Univision production, airing each Sunday night from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT (7 CT).  In addition to growth among Total Viewers 2+ (3.7 million, up 45 percent versus a comparable telecast from last season), the May 1 episode “Nuestra Belleza Latina” delivered significantly more Adults 18-49 (+36 percent) and Adults 18-34 (+20 percent) compared with last year.


After nine episodes, season five has:


o   Averaged 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.7 million Adults 18-49, 892,000 Adults 18-34, 975,000 Women 18-49, 699,000 Men 18-49 and 1.1 million Persons 12-34; and


o   Shown double-digit percentage growth compared to the same airings in 2010 among all key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+ (+18%), Adults 18-49 (+21%), Adults 18-34 (+21%), Women 18-49 (+16%), Men 18-49 (+27%) and Persons 12-34 (+15%).


Additionally, the May 1 episode averaged more Adult 18-34 viewers than ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters” and the season finale of “America’s Next Great Restaurant” on NBC. Looking at the entire week (04/25/2011-05/01/2011), “Nuestra Belleza Latina” generated more Adult 18-34 and Adult 18-49 viewers than the first-run episodes of the following primetime programs on Univision’s English-language broadcast competitors:
