“Rudolph” is First with Television’s Youngest Viewers (Kids and Teens)
A Rebroadcast of “NCIS” Wins in Viewers, Adults 25-54 and is Strong Second in A18-49 Against All First-Run Programming
“Victoria’s Secret” is the Night’s Top-Rated Program in Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, Sweeping Time Period
On an atypical Tuesday night with programming encompassing all demographics, CBS swept all key ratings categories, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Dec. 4.
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) was first in children 2-11 (4.8/15), children 6-11 (4.3/14) and teens 12-17 (2.1/08) and was second in households (5.5/09), viewers (10.09m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09), adults 18-49 (2.9/08) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06). RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER was broadcast television’s top-rated program this season in both children 2-11 and children 6-11.
At 9:00 PM, a rebroadcast of NCIS (R) (S) was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (11.07m) and adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.0/05, -0.1 behind NBC first-run programming).
At 10:00 PM, VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) won its time slot in households (5.9/10), viewers (9.32m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08), adults 18-49 (3.5/10) and adults 18-34 (4.1/10). VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the night’s #1 program in both adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW posted the third-best weekday 10:00 PM adults 18-34 delivery this season (behind Thursday Night Football on NBC Thanksgiving night and NBC’s Election Night coverage).
THE VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW also was the most social program on television yesterday, according to both Social Guide and Trendrr. The show saw a 545% year-over-year growth in total number of tweets and captured nearly a 64% share of all TV-related Twitter buzz yesterday, according to Social Guide. THE VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW page on CBS.com registered a record number of page views for the day of the show.
For the night, CBS was first in households (6.1/10), viewers (10.16m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08), adults 18-49 (2.8/08) and adults 18-34 (2.4/08).
