Summer to Date, Univision Ranks as the No. 1 Broadcast Network Among Adults 18-34

For the Third Consecutive Week, Univision Ranked No. 1 Among Both Adults 18-34 and 18-49

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 18, 2014 to August 24, 2014

 

 

·         Summer to date, Univision ranks as the No. 1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and No.3 among Adults 18-49.  Also, this week marks the third consecutive week where Univision ranked No.1 among both demographics.

 

·         Last week, Univision increased its primetime audience (+8%) compared to the same week in 2013 while CBS (-15%), FOX (-10%), ABC (-6%), and NBC (-4%) reported audience declines in the key Adult 18-49 viewers.

 

·         Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

·         For the entire week, Univision aired 16 out of the top 25 primetime programs on all of broadcast television among Adults 18-34 and 12 out of the top 25 among Adults 18-49.

 

·         Univision’s “Mi Corazón es Tuyo” (My Heart is Yours) made Univision the No.1 broadcast network during the Monday to Friday 8pm to 9pm time slot among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 for the fourth consecutive week.  The novela averaged 3.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 million Adult 18-49, and 924,000 Adults 18-34.

 

·         The premiere week of Univision’s “Hasta El Fin Del Mundo” (Until the End of Time) made Univision the No.1 broadcast network during the Monday to Friday 9pm to 10pm time slot among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  The novela averaged 3.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.0 million Adult 18-49, and 939,000 Adults 18-34.

 

 

·         “Qué Pobres Tan Ricos” (The Poor, Rich Family) helped Univision rank as the No. 1 broadcast network during the Monday to Friday 10pm to 11pm time slot among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  The novela averaged 3.3 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.7 million Adults 18-49, and 832,000 Adults 18-34.

 

 

·         On Saturday night, Univision’s “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the No. 3 broadcast network for the entire night among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC and FOX in each demographic. Also, the show saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers (+3% to 1.6 million), Adults 18-49 (+20% to 630,000), and Adults 18-34 (+17% to 225,000).

 

·         On Sunday night, Univision ranked as the No. 2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 and No. 3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering FOX and ABC in each demographic.

 

ü  “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now) saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+37% to 2.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+20% to 811,000), and Adults 18-34 (+11% to 293,000).

ü  Airing 8-10:30pm, the finale of “Qué Pobres Tan Ricos” (The Poor, Rich Family) made Univision the No. 2 broadcast network in the time period among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-performing FOX, CBS, and ABC in each demographic.  The finale averaged 3.9 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 million Adults 18-49, and 917,000 Adults 18-34.

ü   Following at 10:30pm, Univision held onto the No. 2 spot among both demographics with help from a half-hour edition of “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper).  The show saw increases over the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+20% to 2.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+30% to 1.1 million), and Adults 18-34 (+29% to 394,000)
