Super Soul Sunday Dani Shapiro

via press release:

Los Angeles – Oprah Winfrey sits down with bestselling author Dani Shapiro to discuss one of life’s biggest questions: What do you believe? on an all-new episode of “Super Soul Sunday” this Sunday, October 20 at 11 a.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

This question was at the heart of Shapiro’s recent spiritual quest. When her young son asked questions like, “What happens when we die?”  She realized that she didn’t know what she truly believed.  So, Shapiro became a spiritual detective delving deep inside her past to find the answers for her son.  Now, she shares with Oprah how her childhood, growing up as the daughter of a Jewish Orthodox father and an atheist mother, shaped her spiritual life. Plus, she explains how her life changed in an instant, when her father was killed and her mother badly injured in a car accident.  She says, from that moment on, a journey of self-discovery began which still was a work in progress well into her 40s.  Today, Shapiro tells Oprah how she finally learned to live in the moment and not take life for granted, something she says anyone can achieve.  Now, after years of self-discovery, she finally has the answers for her son.
