Morning show “Un Nuevo Día” on track to deliver best month ever in Telemundo’s history and to rank as fastest growing broadcast morning news & information program, regardless of language this season 

Daily newscast “Noticiero Telemundo” delivers best month ever in Telemundo’s history

Miami – December 4, 2014 – Telemundo announced that its Emmy Award-winning morning show, “Un Nuevo Día” is on track to deliver its best November and best month ever in Telemundo’s history with 314,000 total viewers (+78% vs. November 2013) , 155,000 adults 18 to 49 (+109%) and 167,000 adults 25 to 54 (+78%) to date. In addition, its flagship daily newscast “Noticiero Telemundo” registered its best November, and best month ever, in the network’s national people meter history with 967,000 total viewers (+5% vs. November 2013), according to Nielsen. The newscast co-anchored by José Díaz-Balart and María Celeste Arrarás also delivered its best monthly performance ever among adults 25 to 54 (438,000, +12%) to become the fastest growing broadcast evening newscast in the US in the demo regardless of language.

Season to date, “Noticiero Telemundo” registered its best “season start” in network history delivering 895,000 total viewers (+6%), 372,000 (+4%) adults 18 to 49 and 409,000 (+8%) adults 25 to 54 season to date. “Un Nuevo Día” is on track to deliver its best “season start” ever and to rank as the fastest growing broadcast morning news and information show regardless of language with 293,000 total viewers (+73% growth vs. the same time period last year), 143,000 adults 18 to 49 (+107%) and 157,000 adults 25 to 54 (+76%).

Other news properties highlights:

  • “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste” is pacing to deliver its best “season start” in network’s history delivering 1,116,000 total viewers (+3% vs. the same time period last year), 491,000 adults 18 to 49 (+9%) and 536,000 adults 25 to 54 (+9%) season to date.
  • “Enfoque con José Díaz-Balart” also on pace to deliver its best season start, is on track to rank as the fastest growing broadcast network Sunday political news and information show season to date with 209,000 total viewers (+44% vs. the same time period last year), 102,000 adults 18 to 49 (+55%) and 108,000 adults 25 to 54 (+44%).
  • The recently launched “Noticiero Telemundo Fin de Semana” is garnering double digit growth in November, its second month on air, with an average of 454,000 (+23% vs. Oct 2014) total viewers on Saturdays and 729,000 (+21%) on Sundays.
