UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – May 2, 2012 – Last night on NBC’s “The Voice” Elimination Show, Tony Lucca @luccadoes, Chris Mann @IamChrisMann, Jermaine Paul @jermainepaul and Juliet Simms @julietsimmsALL earned the right to represent their respective coaches – Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green – in the Finals of “The Voice,” Monday, May 7 (8-10 p.m., ET), culminating in the season finale on Tuesday, May 8 (9-11 p.m., ET) in a two-night event on NBC. These four artists beat out Lindsey Pavao @LindseyPavao (Team Christina), Katrina Parker @katrinapmusic (Team Adam), Jamar Rogers @JSquidward (Team CeeLo) and Erin Willett @erin_willett (Team Blake) in the Semifinal round of competition.
This Monday, it’s all or nothing for the Final Four as they offer up their best for a final chance at America’s votes. In addition to performing one song, each artist will also sing a duet with his or her coach. Then, on Tuesday’s season finale, the finalists will each collaborate with some of their fellow season two competitors who return for special performances and musical guests Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Lady Antebellum and Daryl Hall & John Oates perform. But wait there’s more! Just as all four coaches came together to open the season with a spectacular performance, Adam, Blake, CeeLo and Christina are set to thrill audiences and viewers once more in a special group number to close out the season. Finally, by night’s end, in the moment we’ve all been waiting for, one voice will rise above all as the winner is crowned.
“The Voice” is a vocal competition show featuring celebrity musician coaches Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Carson Daly hosts and serves as producer, and Christina Milian serves as social media correspondent. The show’s innovative format features three stages of competition: the first begins with the blind audition, and then the competition enters into a battle phase, and finally, the live performance shows. In the end, each coach will have one star artist left ready to compete against the other teams’ finalists to be named “The Voice” – the winner will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.
“The Voice” is a presentation of One Three Inc. (a Hearst/Mark Burnett company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
