Univision #1 Network in the Country in Overall Prime on Friday Night

Among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language

NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 11/23/09

•      Regardless of language, Univision was the #1 network in the country on Friday night among all Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) and Adults 18-34 (969,000).

•      The #1 Program on Friday night was Univision’s “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  Rounding out the Top 5 programs of the night among Adults 18-34 were Univision’s “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) at #3 and “La Rosa de Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe) at #5.  Among Adults 18-49 “En Nombre del Amor” came in at #4.

•      For the week, Univision was the #4 broadcast network in primetime on Monday (1.1 million) and Wednesday (990,000) night among Adults 18-34, beating NBC and CW on Monday and ABC and CW on Wednesday.

•      Univision finished the week as the 5th most-watched network in primetime with 3.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49, 852,000 Adults 18-34 and 187,000 Teens 12-17, out-delivering CW.  Additionally, Univision ranked #3 among Kids 2-11 (415,000), beating CBS, NBC and CW.

•      Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 3 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, on 5 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17 and on one night among Adults 18-49.

•      “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) made Univision the #5 ranked network in the M-F 8-9pm hour among Adults 18-49 (1.6 million), Adults 18-34 (873,000) and Total Viewers 2+ (3.3 million), delivering more viewers in this hour than CW and Telemundo.

•      Last week, Univision’s “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) beat ABC, NBC, CW and Telemundo making it the #3 ranked network in the M-F 9-10pm hour among Women 18-34 (785,000).  Additionally, the novela ranked #4 for the week among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million) and Teens 12-17 (273,000).

•      “Sortilegio’s” (Love Spell) Monday and Tuesday telecasts were among the Top 30 programs for the week for Adults 18-34, out-performing English-language programs such as ABC’s “Modern Family,” “Castle,” “Find My Family;” NBC’s “Heroes,” “Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now Special,” “Trauma;” CBS’ “Survivor Samoa Thanksgiving Special,” “ The Good Wife,” “CSI:NY” and FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance” among others.

•      “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 ranked network on Saturday night among Kids 2-11 (324,000), beating ABC and CBS.  Additionally, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) came in at #4 among Adults 18-34 (515,000) and Teens (138,000), beating CBS.

•      Sunday night’s special presentation of “Premios TV y Novelas” garnered and average audience of 3.0 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49 and 892,000 Adults 18-34; making Univision the #5 ranked network for the night across key demographics.
