Univision is the #3 Network Among Adults 18-49 for Second Consecutive Week

 

Network Out-Delivers ABC, CBS and NBC for the Fourth Consecutive Week Among

Adults 18-34, Ranking as the #1 Broadcast Network

 

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 28, 2012 to June 3, 2012

 

  • Univision ranked as the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 last week, out-delivering FOX (+8%) and CBS (+16%)

ü  Univision accounted for four of this week’s top 15 programs among Adults 18-49.

 

  • Univision was the #1 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering NBC (+20%), FOX (+32%), ABC (+52%), and CBS (+111%).

ü  This marks the fourth consecutive week that Univision has delivered more Adults 18-34 viewers than ABC, NBC, and CBS.

ü  For the eighteenth time in the past nineteen weeks Univision has ranked #3 or higher among

A18-34.

ü  Univision accounted for seven of this week’s top 15 programs among Adults 18-34.

 

  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-49.  Univision also out-delivered two or more of the English-Language broadcast networks on every night last week among Adults 18-34.

ü  Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 77% of the time (200 out of 259 days) among Adults 18-34 and 53% of the time (138 out of 259 days) among Adults 18-49.

ü  Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 69 nights, CBS on 51 nights, and FOX on 66 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 154 nights, CBS on 173 nights, and FOX on 93 nights.

 

  • At 8PM, Univision’s novela “Refugio Para Amor” (A Shelter for Love) helped Univision to rank as the #1 network for the hour among Adults 18-34.   The novela averaged 2.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 Million Adults 18-49, and 741,000 Adults 18-34.

 

  • Univision’s 9PM novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) helped Univision to rank as the #1 network for the hour among Adults 18-34.  The novela averaged 3.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 988,000 Adults 18-34 viewers for the week. Univision also held the #3 position among Adults 18-49.

                                                                                                 

  • During the 10PM hour (based on M-F), Univision aired “La Que No Podia Amar” (The One Who Couldn’t Love).  Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. The novela averaged 4.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34.

 

  • Univision kicked off the week as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS in both demographics. Univision’s entire primetime lineup also ranked among the top 10 programs Monday night among Adults 18-34 and top 15 programs among Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Tuesday night Univision ranked #2 among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS in both demographics for the second consecutive night this week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup also ranked among the top 5 programs among Adults 18-34 and top 15 programs among Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Wednesday night Univision ranked #2 among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS in both demographics for the third consecutive night this week.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup also ranked among the top 5 programs among Adults 18-34 and top 15 programs among Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Thursday night Univision was the #1 ranked network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for the night among Adults 18-34 and ranked among the top 15 programs for Adults 18-49.

ü   Univision’s telecast of the Mexico-Bosnia friendly match (8:50 PM-11:07 PM) was the #1 program for the entire evening among Adults 18-34 and Men 18-34, delivering 1.0 Million Adults 18-34 and 612,000 Men 18-34.   The match also delivered 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, ranking #5 for the evening.

 

  • For the eighth consecutive week, Univision was the #1 network on Friday night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

ü  “La Que No Podia Amar” was the #1 program for the night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

ü  Univision’s entire primetime line-up including “Un Refugio Para el Amor,” “Abismo de Pasion,” and “La Que No Podia Amar” ranked among the top five programs Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked among the top ten programs for Adults 18-49.

ü  In the current season Univision has been the #1 Network on Friday nights 89% of the time (33 out of 37 weeks) among Adults 18-34 more than any other broadcast network.

 

  • On Saturday night, airing “Sabado Gigante,” Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-34.   “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) attracted 2.0 Million Total Viewers 2+, 794,000 Adults 18-49, and 374,000 Adults 18-34 viewers.

 

  • On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49.  At 7PM Univision presented the third season world premiere of Televisa’s hit sitcom “La Familia P. Luche 3” (The Plush Family 3), starring famed Mexican comic and Hollywood star Eugenio Derbez alongside Consuelo Duval, Miguel Pérez and Regina Blandón.  Following at 8pm was the second season premiere of kids talent show “Pequeños Gigantes 2” (Small Giants 2) starring 28 contestants (9 from US) and featuring Mexican theater actress Bianca Marroquín, Mexican singer María José “Josa,” Mexican actor Manuel “Flaco” Ibáñez,  Spanish dancer Raquel Ortega, Mexican comedian Arath de la Torre, and Colombian singer Fanny Lu as judges.

ü  “La Familia P. Luche 3” aired 7-8P, ranking #1 in its time period among Adults 18-34.  The show also delivered 2.5 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.3 Million Adults 18-49 and 711,000 Adults 18-34.

ü  “Pequeños Gigantes 2”, airing 8-1032PM, ranked #1 in its time period and #2 for the entire evening among Adults 18-34 (#4 for Adults 18-49).  The show also delivered 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.0 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34.

  • Last week, an average of 683,000 Total Viewers 2+, 365,000 Adults 18-49 and 216,000 Adults 18-34 watched TeleFutura during Broadcast Prime (Mon-Sat 8pm-11pm/Sun 7pm-11pm).

 

  • TeleFutura significantly up in comparison to the same week in 2011 (05/30/11-06/05/11) and prior weekly performance (05/21/12-05/27/12) during broadcast prime:

ü  Vs. same week in 2011: Total Viewers 2+ (683,000 vs. 465,000; +47%), Adults 18-49 (365,000 vs. 273,000; +34%) and Adults 18-34 (216,000 vs. 143,000; +51%).

ü  Vs. prior week: Total Viewers 2+ (683,000 vs. 515,000; +33%), Adults 18-49 (365,000 vs. 263,000; +39%) and Adults 18-34 (216,000 vs. 147,000; +47%).

 

  • TeleFutura’s weeknight edition of “Cine de las Estrellas”…

ü  Drew in an average audience of 610,000 Total Viewers 2+, 335,000 Adults 18-49 and 215,000 Adults 18-34. 

ü  Up by double-digit margins versus previous week average among Total Viewers 2+ (610,000 vs. 493,000; +24%), Adults 18-49 (335,000 vs. 252,000; +33%) and Adults 18-34 (215,000 vs. 144,000; +49%).
