UNIVISION NETWORK’S “AQUÍ Y AHORA” DELIVERS HIGHEST-RATED PERFORMANCE IN 2014 DURING MONTH OF NOVEMBER

NEW YORK, NY– DECEMBER 3, 2014 – In November, Univision Network’s primetime newsmagazine, “Aquí y Ahora”, delivered its highest-rated monthly performance to-date in 2014 with 2.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 446,000 Adults 18-34.

 

Univision’s “Aquí y Ahora” has consistently increased its audience in the last three consecutive months with strong double-digit audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+26%), Adults 18-49 (+35%), Adults 25-54 (+30%) and Adults 18-34 (+47%) compared to the prior month. 

 

Additionally, “Aquí y Ahora” attracted a younger audience (43 years old) than the English-language primetime newsmagazines on broadcast television: ABC’s “20/20” (58 years old), CBS’ “60 Minutes” (62 years old) and NBC’s “Dateline” (61 years old). It  also averaged significantly more Hispanic viewers than the combined audience of ABC’s “20/20,” CBS’ “60 Minutes” and NBC’s “Dateline” across Total Viewers 2+ (+22% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+70% adv.), Adults 25-54 (+74% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+47% adv.).

 

KEY NOVEMBER 2014 HIGHLIGHTS:

 

“Inmigración: Acción Ejecutiva”(Immigration: Executive Action) aired on November 23, 2014 (7 p.m. ET/PT) featuring President Obama’s Executive Action on Immigration and delivered “Aquí y Ahora’s” second highest-rated telecast in the current 2014/2015 season  with over 1 million Adult 18-49 and Adult 25-54 viewers.

“Chespirito: Comediante Universal” (Chespirito: World-Renowned Comedian) aired on November 30, 2014 (7 p.m. ET/PT) featuring the life and career of Mexican actor, Chespirito (Roberto Gomez Bolaños), and set record breaking audience levels in the current 2014/2015 season with strong week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+4% to 2.3 million), Adults 18-49 (+8% to 1.2 million) and Adults 25-54 (+5% to 1.2 million).
