“Survivor: Samoa” Places First in Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

“CSI” Tops “Grey’s Anatomy” in Viewers

“The Mentalist” Out Delivers the Season Premiere of “Private Practice” and Posts Across-the-Board Gains Over Last Week’s Premiere

CBS won the second Thursday of the new season in viewers, winning every half hour behind SURVIVOR: SAMOA, CSI and THE MENTALIST, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 1.

SURVIVOR: SAMOA was first in households (6.9/11), viewers (11.54m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.7/11, with ABC).  Compared to last week’s broadcast, SURVIVOR: SAMOA was up +3% in households (from 6.7/11), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/12) and even in adults 18-49.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in viewers (15.94m), tied for first in households (9.9/16, with ABC) and second in both adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

THE MENTALIST was first in households (10.1/17) and viewers (15.75m) and second in adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11).  Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +6% in both households (from 9.5/16) and adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12) and added +680,000 viewers (from 15.07m, +5%).

For the night, CBS was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (14.41m), second in adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11).
