For the week of March 2-8, the Turner portfolio scored three of basic cable’s Top 6 networks in primetime delivery of adults 18-49, with TBS, Adult Swim and TNT in the mix. Adult Swim and TBS also ranked among the Top 4 networks with adults 18-34 in primetime, and TBS was a Top 3 network in total audience delivery. In addition, Adult Swim once again topped the charts as basic cable’s #1 network in total day among key adult demos, with TBS ranking among the Top 4 networks with adults 18-49 and TNT in the Top 4 with adults 25-54. And Cartoon Network continues to reign as television’s #1 network in total day delivery of targeted boy demos.
Adult Swim ranked as basic cable’s #1 network for the week in total day delivery among adults and men 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49. Total day delivery grew by +11% over the previous year among adults 18-24.
On Friday, The Jack & Triumph Show (11:30p) ranked as basic cable’s #1 program in its time period among all key adults. The series charted a +12% increase over the prior week’s premiere among adults 18-34, while also seeing week-over-week growth among adults 18-24 & 18-49 and men 18-34 & 18-49.
The online-to-linear series FishCenter (weeknights at 4a) continues to rank as basic cable’s #1 program in its timeslot among all key adults and men.
TBS’s Cougar Town scored 2.8 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for March 3 episode and two encores. In key demos, the show drew 1.6 million adults 18-49 and 594,000 adults 18-34. Across TBS’s multiple platforms, Cougar Town is reaching an average of 3.0 million viewers per episode in its sixth and final season.
TBS’s King of the Nerds brought in a combined audience of 2.0 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for the March 6 episode and two weekend encores, an increase of +6% over the prior week’s episode. In key demos, the show garnered 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 457,000 adults 18-34. With one episode remaining to be measured in its third season, King of the Nerds is reaching an average of 2.7 million viewers per episode across TBS’s multiple platforms.
TBS’s animated hit American Dad! drew 1.5 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for its March 2 telecast on TBS, with 1.1 million adults 18-49 and 687,000 adults 18-34. Across all of TBS’s linear, digital and mobile platforms, the current season of American Dad! has so far has reached 3.9 million viewers per episode.
For the second week of March, Cartoon Network continued to be the #2 network on basic cable in total day (6a-8p) delivery among kids 6-11 and 9-14. Total day delivery charted significant double-digit gains over the prior year, increasing with kids 2-11 by +25%, kids 6-11 by +28% and kids 9-14 by +13%. Additionally, Cartoon Network was television’s #1 destination for boys 6-11 and 9-14.

Teen Titans Go! (Thursday, 6p) ranked as television’s #1 telecast of the week among kids and boys 2-11/6-11 and #1 for the day among all targeted demos. Thursday Night premieres – Amazing World of Gumball (5pm), Uncle Grandpa (5:30pm), Teen Titans Go! (6pm), Steven Universe (6:30pm), Adventure Time (7:30pm) –ranked #1 in their respective time periods among all targeted kids & boys, while Regular Show (7:15pm) was #1 among kids 2-11 and all key boys. All premieres grew by mostly double and triple digits across the board.
TNT’s blockbuster hit Rizzoli & Isles drew a combined audience of 7.6 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for its March 3 episode and encore, a +6% increase over the prior week. The show also drew 2.7 million adults 25-54 (+5% vs. the prior week). With all replays and multiplatform viewing included, Rizzoli & Isles is reaching an average of 10.3 million viewers per episode this season.
TNT’s hit investigative series Cold Justice drew a combined delivery of 2.7 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery for the March 6 winter finale and encore episode. In key demos, the show delivered 1.1 million adults 25-54 and 893,000 adults 18-49. The third season of Cold Justice averaged of 3.5 million viewers per episode across all of TNT’s television, digital and mobile platforms.
For the week of March 2, the truTV primetime audience yielded a median age of 36, seven years younger than the same week a year ago. And for the year-to-date, truTV’s primetime audience has a median age of 37, five years younger than the same time last year.
truTV’s hit series Impractical Jokers continues to perform well, delivering 2 million total viewers and ranking sixth in its timeslot for adults 18-49. It also scored Top 5 time-period rankings with men 18-49, men 18-34 and total viewers.
