Rebecca Lowe: “More than ever before, the Premier League is totally unpredictable.”

NBC Sports Network Kicks Off Premier League Coverage Saturday, August 17, at 7 a.m. ET

STAMFORD – August 8, 2013 – Nine days from today – on Saturday, August 17 – NBC Sports Group kicks off the most ambitious, extensive and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League available anywhere in the world. Coverage begins at 7 AM ET on NBC Sports Network with the Liverpool-Stoke City match and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra.

The Premier League season lasts 9 months, generally running from mid-August until mid-May. The 2013-14 season kicks off August 17 and will conclude on May 11.

NBC Sports Group will make available in the United States all 380 games from the Premier League. That’s more than anywhere else on the globe (including the U.K.).  All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

Sounding off with NBC Sports Group’s Premier League host Rebecca Lowe:

What I am most looking forward to this Premier League season is…

The fact that – maybe more than ever before – the Premier League is totally unpredictable. In essence, that’s why we love this league but this campaign will be packed with surprises and it’s the anticipation of those that I can’t wait for.  Shocks every week give us talking points, debating topics and some fabulous football moments.

I am preparing for this season of telecasts by…

As always, keeping abreast of everything that is going on in the Premier League.  If I’m not online reading the British newspapers, then I am listening to Talksport Radio and BBC Radio 5 Live. I try to always be surrounded by football.

Before I go on air, I need…

A green juice and a cup of English Breakfast tea! We will be having long days so I need energy and that’s the best thing at 4:30 in the morning!

If I’m not watching soccer, I like to…

Go running with my husband. I practice Pilates most days, and I also love to cook and bake. Oh, and go shoe shopping!

There is no way…

I can possibly predict the winners of the league this season. It is too open.
