THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” ADDS +1.37M VIEWERS COMPARED TO THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR AND POSTS THE NETWORK’S BEST VIEWER PERFORMANCE IN THE TIME PERIOD SINCE SEPTEMBER 2006
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted double-digit year-to-year percentage gains in adults 25-54 (+12%, 1.9/06 from 1.7/06) – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers (+20%, 8.36m from 6.99m) and households (+13%, 5.4/10 from 4.8/09), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 31.
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +1.37m viewers compared to the same week last year and posted the Network’s best viewer performance in the time period in more than seven years (since the week ending Sept. 8, 2006).
The CBS broadcast also posted its best delivery in adults 25-54 since the week ending Jan. 20, 2012.
Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +6% in viewers (7.18m from 6.74m) compared to last year.
