THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” POSTS YEAR-TO-YEAR INCREASES AMONG ADULTS 25-54 (+7%) – THE DEMOGRAPHIC MOST IMPORTANT TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS – AS WELL AS VIEWERS (+8%) FOR THE WEEK ENDING MARCH 21
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted year-to-year increases among adults 25-54 (+7%, 1.5/06 from 1.4/05) – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers (+8%, 7.11m from 6.61m) for the week ending March 21, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +500,000 viewers compared to the same week last year.
Editor’s Note: Ratings for the week ending March 21 and the year-ago comparisons represent a three-day average (Monday-Wednesday) due to live coverage of NCAA basketball.
Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +6% in viewers (7.26m from 6.82m) compared to last year.
