Brandt Snedeker Defends Title in Field Highlighted by Former Champions

CBS Sports travels to the picturesque Monterey Peninsula to cover the AT&T PEBBLE BEACH NATIONAL PRO-AM, contested at the world renowned Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Club and Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.  CBS Sports broadcasts the third and final rounds live on Saturday, Feb. 8 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) and Sunday, Feb. 9 (3:00-6:30 PM, ET).  Jim Nantz, now in his 29th year covering golf at CBS, serves as anchor of CBS Sports’ golf coverage.  Sir Nick Faldo, winner of six majors and more than 40 tournaments worldwide, serves as lead analyst alongside Nantz in the 18th tower. Ian Baker-Finch mans the 17th; Gary McCord the 16th; and David Feherty and Peter Kostis round out the Network’s golf announce team in Pebble Beach as on-course reporters.


This weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and for all 20 PGA TOUR events this year, CBS Sports’ PGA TOUR coverage will be streamed live on and  The live streaming coverage also will be available on the CBS Sports app for the iPhone, iPad and Android.


Brandt Snedeker looks to defend his title after winning last year and marking only the ninth time in tournament history that a player won the individual and pro-am title (paired with Vanderbilt alum Toby S. Wilt) in the same year.  This year’s field includes four-time AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am winner Phil Mickelson, as well as former champions Dustin Johnson, D.A. Points Davis Love III and Vijay Singh.  Others among this week’s field include seven of the top 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings: Mickelson (4), Jason Day (10), Johnson (12), Graeme McDowell (15), Jordan Spieth (16), Snedeker (17) and Jim Furyk (21), as well as Ricky Barnes, Trevor Immelman, Geoff Ogilvy, Nick Watney, John Daly, Padraig Harrington, Mike Weir and Lucas Glover.


During Saturday’s coverage, which traditionally focuses more on the celebrity Pro-Am round on Pebble Beach Golf Course, CBS Sports’ Nantz and Faldo conduct interviews on the 17th tee with the many celebrity golfers that also make up the Pro-Am field from the world of sports, television, film and music including New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the greatest NHL player of all-time Wayne Gretzky, San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain, former professional tennis players Andy Roddick and James Blake, surfer Kelly Slater; actors Chris O’Donnell, Don Cheadle, Kurt Russell, Andy Garcia and Ray Romano; musicians Kid Rock, Darius Rucker and Kenny G; former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush, and many others.
