CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 18, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.2/09 with 4.56m viewers and a 1.2/06 in adults 25-54.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in viewers (5.49m from 5.08m), up +6% in households (3.8/11 from 3.6/10), and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast was anchored by Lee Cowan and featured Mark Strassmann’s report on an exhibition of cars influenced by the Art Deco movement held at the at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, James Brown’s interview with George Raveling, who owns a copy of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, Martha Teichner’s report on women who have undergone breast cancer surgery and Serena Altschul’s profile of bestselling author Cassandra Clare.
