“CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD” DELIVERS MORE THAN 6 MILLION VIEWERS FOR THE EIGHTH TIME THIS SEASON
“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” POSTS YEAR-TO-YEAR INCREASES IN ADULTS 25-54 (+21%) – THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT MATTERS MOST TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS – AND VIEWERS (+11%)
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD delivered more than 6 million viewers for the eighth time this season and was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 2, 2014.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was watched by 6.32m viewers and posted a 1.7/08 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +21% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/07) and up +11% in viewers (from 5.72m).
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in viewers (5.99m from 5.70m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Tracy Smith’s report on how humans are wired to react to criticism more strongly than praise; Mo Rocca’s profile of Academy Award winning actress and Hollywood legend Eva Marie Saint; Martha Teichner’s visit to Monument Valley, a 92,000-acre stretch of land straddling the Arizona-Utah border that has served as the backdrop for the classic Western films of John Ford and many more; Serena Altschul’s look at the work of the late jewelry designer David Webb; and Lee Cowan’s interview with make-up and special effects artist Matthew Mungle.
